McCann Digital Israel has put together a Facebook timeline of a fictional Adam Barak juxtaposing a year with and a year without drugs. It is an interesting anti-drug campaign and it will be interesting to follow over the next year.

The  emergency medicine residents at JPS Health Network have produced and entered a video in the EMP’s 3rd Annual Best in Emergency Medicine Video Challenge.

EMP’s Video Challenge is an opportunity for emergency medicine residents to document why their residency program is the best in the country. Creativity is welcomed, entries can be funny, sentimental, informative or crazy.

The American College of Graduate Medical Education approved the JPS Emergency Medicine Residency Program in July 2009 as the largest EM Residency startup ever – JPS is truly the best.

First place in the challenge wins $10,000 for their residency program. You can vote through January 31, 2012 at this link: www.emp.com/we-the-best-2011-video-challenge.

There’s never a dull moment at our offices! We recently created a Christmas video for our client, TTI Inc. Shot entirely at our office, this video is a little snip-it of what our team and neighbors got to hear during filming - and the car is just plain awesome.

We started this project brainstorming ideas for TTI’s holiday card and thought a video would fit in nicely with the rest of TTI’s Specialist campaign. With help from our friends at Track Daddy Productions for filming and editing, TTI’s “holiday card” is a must see.

As the holidays draw near, it’s nice to have a new home that we can make festive and cheerful.  While we limit the amount of time per week we can pump Christmas tunes through the company-wide speakers, the decorations are tastefully placed throughout the building.  Here’s to our first Christmas in our new home office!

A Schaefer Christmas Party

Everyone’s doing it…It’s time to make the rounds at company Christmas parties. This year we added a twist to our extravaganza. We started the night by spreading a little Christmas cheer to our fellow Fort Worthians (Is that word?? I’m still relatively new here) in Sundance Square, hopped on a party bus, dined at our office and finished the night at Pete’s Piano Bar.

Dunkin’ Donuts is taking an interesting social approach to get their customers engaged via Facebook Places and Four Square this holiday.  It will be interesting to see what the final outcome reveals and how much participation they can generate.

Pinterest - It’s an addiction; there have been many nights where I look at the clock and somehow over an hour passed while I was pinning.

This interesting article was shared in the office and it particularly caught my attention, Pinterest: Link Building and SEO Strategy.

Think of Pinterest SEO in terms of linkable image assets. Which image properties do you own that people might want to pin. Pinterest is an aesthetic network: what aesthetic content are you creating? What are the keywords associated with your images?

The article also gives key tactics for SEO on Pinterest: 

1. Getting people to pin pictures of your products by adding the “Pin It” button to product pages.
2. Seeding your site images to topical influencers where they are likely to get spread through “repinning.”

Here’s the question: Is it valuable for companies to invest resources in Pinterest?

I say yes - I recently purchased an item from an online retailer I was unaware even existed before I followed the pinned image’s link. Also noteworthy, Pinterest now comes up in my casual conversations, referencing a great product I or a friend pinned.
